Keeping Our Patients & Team Safe

Hartley Bridge TMJ & Dental Sleep Center Infection Control Procedures

At Hartley Bridge TMJ & Dental Sleep Center, the safety of our patients and team is always our top priority. We strictly adhere to the infection control guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), American Dental Association®, OSHA and the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Our commitment to the highest safety standards includes:

  • Ongoing training in the latest healthcare sterilization and equipment disinfection procedures.
  • Use of autoclave sterilization for non-disposable instruments based on manufacturer guidelines and CDC protocols.
  • Single dose dispensation of medicaments and materials; disposable patient care items are never re-used.
  • Treatment areas are thoroughly disinfected and disposable plastic equipment covers are replaced after each patient is dismissed.
  • Surface disinfection of reception area, restrooms and contact areas with use of aerosol disinfectant spray multiple times per day.
  • Use of personnel protective equipment (PPE) by each team member combined with proper handwashing techniques before and after each patient is seen.

COVID-19 Precautions

  • We take our responsibility in helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community seriously. We ask that patients and guests wear masks while in our facility; if you do not have a mask, we will be happy to provide one for you.

  • We request that scheduled patients come alone to their appointments. If you are a caregiver or parent/guardian, please let our front office team know when you arrive; we will happy to have you accompany the patient or wait in a dedicated area.

  • Patients that are scheduled for an appointment that receive a positive COVID-19 test, have COVID-19 symptoms (fever or persistent cough), or have been in direct contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 are asked to postpone their appointment for the length of time recommended by their physician and the CDC.

Dr. Leigh Bennett and the Hartley Bridge TMJ & Dental Sleep Center Team invite your questions about our infection control measures or other concerns you may have related to your care. Please feel free to Contact Our Team for more information.
